Carden Academy > Admissions

An application for admission to Carden Academy of Basic Education must be accompanied by a non-refundable processing and testing fee of $75. Receipt of these items initiates the application process. Parents will subsequently be notified of a testing date.

For all grades, acceptance to Carden Academy is based on the results of a standardized entrance test and a comprehensive evaluation of each student by a trained Carden teacher. All information so gathered is completely discussed with parents but is otherwise held in confidence. We admit students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin.

Any student entering Carden Academy above the level of Junior Primary will be required to attend our summer school program. Some exceptions may be made for students transferring from other Carden schools.

Annual Tuition Insurance

$172.00 (2% of Total Tuition)

Summer School Tuition (required for new students entering Grades 1 and up)

Extended Day Fees:

Daily use: Extended Day service will be provided at the following rate: $2.00 per quarter hour for the first hour beginning at 3:15, and $4.00 per hour or partial hour thereafter. (Drivers who pick-up after 6:00 p.m. will be charged $1 per minute for each child.)

Annual Plan: For those participating on an everyday basis, and staying after 5:00 p.m., an annual payment plan is available for $1,980 per year.

Regular classroom hours: 7:45 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. Students may arrive from 7:00 a.m. on. (no charge)
Extended Day hours: 2:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
